Although I did not attend the induction lesson, because i originally did not intend to do Media, I have felt like I have learnt what Media will bring during sixth form. Doing this Bridging Task I have learnt so many new skills that i did not previously know, including how to create a blog, gathering more information for my research, its opened my views of the Media genre and what it includes. I am looking forward to the future tasks Media brings, like creating a Magazine, as my annotations of a Magazine cover has given me many ideas.
My only concerns I have about this course is the fact that I missed the introduction, and did not originally know what this course contains. I have concerns that when the future course's start I will not understand them completely because Media is not a subject I have studied deeply before, however I will do the best i can and not give up.

Guardian Story
Looking online at the Media Guardian my interest went to one article about Twitter argues fourth amendment defense over judge's occupy order. Twitter was ordered to hand over three months worth of messages and other details related to the account of activist Malcolm Harris, who took part in a protest on Brooklyn bridge last October with hundreds of other people, who were all accused of disorderly conduct. When Twitter did not hand over all off Malcolm's messages and other details they argued that all the posts belonged to Harris, and ''it would be violating his fourth amendment right against unreasonable searches if it were to disclose the communications without first receiving a search warrant''.
This caught my interest because Twitter would not usually be associated with court orders. It also shows how far the modern world has come, the fact that courts are using social networking information as evidence.

Media Representation
Research
When I researched the term 'media representation' online I found that all media texts are re-presentations of reality. This means that the producers create their re-presentation of the real world; they show us one version of reality, not all of reality. The producer is looking at how a certain audience would prefer their look into reality, in another words the creator is picking a certain media type so that his audience can get and grasp his topic. 'Media Representation Theory'My Definition
After researching 'media representation' my understanding of it is that the author creates a piece of work to show his audience what his perception of that certain topic is.
